Information we collect and why
A short enquiry may include contact details, postcode, vehicle choice, budget and buying timeframe. A finance application also includes date of birth, address history, employment, income and stated monthly commitments. We use this information to respond, assess the initial enquiry, discuss affordability and, where the applicant has authorised it, introduce the application to a limited panel of finance providers.
The website application form does not itself perform a credit search. If a provider requires a soft or hard search, the relevant information and consent will be explained before it happens. We do not ask for online-banking passwords, payment-card details or a National Insurance number through this form.
Storage, security and retention
Complete finance applications are encrypted before being stored. A complete copy of the information entered is also delivered through our form-notification provider to the authorised dealership mailbox at sales@nationwidemotorco.co.uk, together with a private, time-limited review link. Access to both the mailbox and encrypted record should be limited to authorised staff who need the information to handle the application.
The private review link expires after 90 days. Application records and application emails should be retained only for as long as required for the application, regulatory responsibilities, complaints, fraud prevention or legal obligations, then securely deleted or anonymised under the business retention policy.
Who information may be shared with
Information may be shared with contracted website, secure storage and email-notification providers that process it for HQ Sourcing Ltd, and with a limited panel of finance providers where the applicant has authorised that sharing and it is appropriate to progress the application.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, regulation, fraud prevention or the protection of legal rights. We do not describe the service as a whole-of-market comparison.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal information. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Some information may need to be retained where a legal or regulatory obligation applies.
Optional website analytics
Google Analytics 4 is off unless you opt in using Analytics settings in the footer. You can use the website and submit an enquiry without opting in. Your choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days and can be withdrawn at any time using the same controls.
If allowed, Google Analytics receives page-view and form-progress events, including whether an enquiry or application was successfully saved, plus clicks on telephone links and the public vehicle-sharing controls. A telephone or WhatsApp click does not confirm that a call or message was completed. It may also process technical device and connection information and use first-party cookies with a pseudonymous identifier. Our integration sets a 180-day cookie lifetime, excludes query strings and private review pages, and does not send form answers, names, contact details or application references to Analytics.
Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled for this integration. We have disabled automatic enhanced measurement and send only selected events. An Analytics submission event is not evidence of lender approval or a completed sale. Google processes Analytics data under its service terms; see Google's privacy policy.
Change optional analytics settings. Withdrawing consent stops this integration and removes its accessible first-party cookies; it does not automatically erase historical reports. Contact us about a privacy request.
