How the one-year warranty works

The dealership arranges a 12-month Platinum Dealership Warranty based on Momentum Plan 2 VPX when the vehicle purchase is completed. Keep the warranty certificate and plan schedule, because they identify the covered vehicle, start and end dates, claim limit, labour rate and the terms that apply to that individual warranty.

The website summary is designed to help you understand the main areas of cover. It does not replace the certificate, booklet or plan schedule, and it does not mean that every fault, service item or repair is covered.

03

Making a warranty claim

Momentum's published process asks customers to log in to the Momentum Warranties app, select 'Make a claim' and provide a description of the fault, a contact number, the current mileage and the date the fault was first noticed. The claims team then assesses the information and asks the customer to choose a local garage for diagnosis.

The garage should contact Momentum using the claims details supplied. Do not authorise repair work before Momentum has assessed and approved the claim. Momentum also publishes a claims telephone line and support email for customers who prefer to speak to the claims team.

  • Report the fault through the Momentum app or claims team
  • Provide the current mileage and when the fault began
  • Choose a garage after the claims team responds
  • Ask the repairer to contact Momentum
  • Wait for authorisation before repair work begins

Terms, exclusions and your legal rights

Cover is subject to the warranty certificate, plan schedule, claim limit, labour rate, vehicle eligibility, servicing and maintenance requirements, limitations, exclusions and the published claims procedure. Ask the dealership for the documents and read them before completing the purchase.

The warranty provides additional contractual protection and does not replace or reduce the customer's statutory rights. GOV.UK confirms that customers retain their legal rights regarding faulty goods regardless of whether a warranty or guarantee applies.
